Welcome to our school website. Stoke Holy Cross Primary is a happy, creative, welcoming and “good” (OFSTED 2019) primary school and I am very pleased to be the Head Teacher.

The school is situated in the village of Stoke Holy Cross, some four miles south of Norwich and serves the children and families from the village itself, Dunston, Caistor St Edmund, Upper Stoke Holy Cross and Shotesham. Pupils from these outlying areas are brought to school by bus.

There is a strong community feel to Stoke Holy Cross with enthusiastic, caring confident and thoughtful children, supportive parents and carers, a dedicated and talented team of educators, an exemplary governing body and a tireless School Association. Although we are not a church school, we benefit from close links with the local church and they support the spiritual well-being of our children.

Our mission statement is “Learning Together” and this is central to our ethos. Stoke Holy Cross’ on-going success is a team effort and we all work hard to ensure that the children have a positive learning experience every day.

At Stoke Holy Cross, we provide exciting learning opportunities designed to promote ‘life-long learning’ skills including cooperation, collaboration, empathy and critical and creative thought. PATHS supports us in this aim and our developing focus on Growth Mindset enables all learners (children and adults) to be the best they can be.

We encourage our pupils to be confident and articulate communicators, to think of themselves as ‘citizens of the future’ with a developing awareness of social and ecological issues and to understand that they can make a positive difference in their school, community and world. Our Green Team and School Council are constantly seeking projects they can actively improve and support.

Stoke Holy Cross is a thriving learning community, working with parents, volunteers and a wide range of educational and other partners to ensure that we offer an excellent and enjoyable curriculum and effective, relevant and researched-based teaching.

As a school, we pride ourselves on striving to provide the best possible educational provision for all our pupils in an inclusive and caring environment. Stoke Holy Cross Primary always keeps your child at the heart of everything we do. If you would like to come and meet us please contact the school office to arrange a visit.

We guarantee a warm welcome!
